The Revolutionary War again
Welcome to the 4th of July!
Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated with family, friends, fireworks, and outdoor barbecues! We call it Independence Day because of the freedoms gained by winning the Revolutionary War.
Amazingly, 248 years later, the principles and liberties our forebears fought for – and we have long taken for granted – are threatened by those in this country who believe that tyranny and dictatorship are preferable to decency and democracy. The battle those who came before us fought and won in the 1700's must now be fought again, this time at the ballot box.
Wherever you find yourself on the political spectrum, it's time to show your true colors and exercise your right to vote, in what could be the last free election if democracy loses. This country has always been about "We the people," and it is indeed the people, all of us, who are charged with the responsibility of deciding which direction this country should take, and what values should guide us!
All of us at the Awareness Institute believe in equal rights, freedom, and the miracle of diversity. Please enjoy a conscious and reflective Independence Day...This time the consequences of what we choose matter.
We look forward to seeing you soon at any of the classes and workshops we offer. We appreciate your support and are beyond grateful for all you bring to life!
With love and gratitude,
John & the Awareness Team
